Maglia Nera Cycling Tours is proud to announce the sponsorship of Katelyn Nicholson.

Many of our clients already know Katelyn, having had the pleasure of riding with her on various tours in the past few years and each one has commented on her fabulous personality, skill and guiding techniques.

Katelyn plays an important role in our team, and gives us all an inside look into the rigorous and competitive world of pro racing. Katelyn is currently based in Italy riding her second year with Team Mendelspeck.

Well before racing in Europe we were already impressed with Katelyn's list of titles in Australia/Oceania, these include: 

• 2024 Oceania Continental Champion
• 2024 Grafton to Inverell Champion
• 2025 Women's Warrnambool Champion
• 2025 Australian Elite National Road Race Championships – 4th Place
• 2026 Australian Elite National Road Race Championships – 4th Place
• 2025 Australian Elite National ITT Championships – 4th Place

In just 2 years on the pro-European circuit, she has added the following Euro and UCI races to her palmares: Giro d’ Italia, Tour de Pologne, Tour des Pyrenees and Tre Valli.

Some notable performances riding with Team Mendlespeck include:

• 2025 Tour des Pyrenees (UCI): Katelyn broke away with another ride for 110km winning the sprint points to claim the sprint jersey for that day.
• 2025 International Festival of Cycling (ITT): 2nd in the ITT allowing her to claim 4th on the GC for the tour.
• 2026 Giro Medditerraneo: Katelyn broke away in the final 30km with one other rider to place 2nd overall and win the International Riders Jersey for first International Rider
